Specialty Chemicals UK was formed from Borden UK Ltd and
other companies in the group, bringing together a vast
array of specialist supply companies. Hexion as a worldwide
group is split into Forrest Products and Chemical Products.
Hexion Specialty Chemicals is the world’s largest
producer of thermosetting resins with sales exceeding
$4 billion and are in a leading position across various
end-user markets and geographies. It has the broadest
range of thermoset resin technologies to offer the market,
with world class research, applications development and
technical service capability. It has 94 production and
distribution facilities in various countries in the Americas,
Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, and approximately

Based in Eastleigh near Southampton, Combined Composite
Technologies Ltd have over 50 years experience in the
design and production of high quality composite tooling,
structures, jigs, assembly fixtures and components for the aerospace,
marine, defence, automotive and communications industries.
In a 25,000 sq, ft, facility CCT Ltd are equipped with
a clean room, a 2m dia x 6.5m long autoclave,microprocessor
controlled curing ovens with vacuum facility, the largest
being 5m x5m x3m high and 3D measuring capability up to
6m x3m x1.5m high. CCT has the ability to accept CAD files
(IGES, STEP, VDA, and CATIA) and use PRO Engineer R20
for turnkey design and prototype services. CCT manufacture
in epoxy, polyester, phenolic and polyurethane resins using
glass, carbon and aramid fibre reinforcements as well as
various core materials such as Nomex or aluminium honeycomb
or foams. Processes include pre-preg high and low temperature,
vacuum infusion, RTM, and high strength contact laminating.
CCT are constantly investigating and evaluating new materials
and processes. CCT are assessed to ISO 9001: 2000 AS 9100
Revision B and hold other aerospace and military approvals
with major companies.
